The Peoples’ Democratic Party Presidential Campaign
Organisation has listed some questions for the presidential candidate of
the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, to answer before
the elections.
Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, who made this known on Friday, March 20, at a news conference in Abuja, raised some issues that the APC candidate has to answer, Punch reports.
Fani-Kayode called on Buhari to clear issues relating to his health and education before the presidential election which will be holding a week from today.
He also asked the APC presidential candidate to explain to Nigerians his role in the 1966 coup and the killings of notable military personnel.
According to Fani, Buhari ought to explain his role in the agitation for political Sharia in northern part of the country in 2000 and his role in the Petroleum Trust Fund scandal while he was chairman of the fund.
Listing 32 other issues, he said: “These are the questions that we would like Gen. Buhari to answer over the next few days before the presidential elections.”
Fani explained that the APC candidate’s answer to these questions would help Nigerians understand better “who and what Buhari really is.”
He added that if Buhari failed to answer the questions sincerely, the PDP would assume that his answers to these questions were in the affirmative and the party would be compelled to conclude that the candidate was unfit to rule the country.
Some days back, the All Progressives Congress reportedly launched a new international radio station called Radio Chanji.
Fani had claimed that the APC was plotting to announce fake presidential election results on Radio Chanji.
He had also called on the nation’s Department of State Security Service and security agencies to arrest and question Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National leader of the opposition party, and Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.
