Tonto Dikeh was born in the family of seven at Ikwerre tribe ( Igbo speaking)in Rivers State.She was born on 6th of June 1985.Her full name – Tonto Charity Dike.
Career
Tonto Dike came out as the first runner up of reality TC show called The Next Movie Star which was held in 2005.‘The success on the show paved way to my Big Time’ – Tonto Dike The show introduced her to Nigerian Movie Industry as she debuted in a popular movie – Tea or Coffee released in 2006.
Her second appearance in the movie Holy Cross paved way to her career as she was contacted by many movies producers and directors contacted her for roles in new movies.
Tonto is a quite controversial figure in Nigerian Movie industry as many of her roles involves dirty acts which is against African Traditions but she sees movies as her career and not her life, she is just acting roles given to her. Many fans agreed she is just professional.
As a quite controversial figure, there have been many scandals and tensions she has attracted including recent posting of image of rolls of marijuana. She is a notorious chain smoker which according to her started when she was just 14! She recently testified that she stopped smoking after prayers with Pastor T.B. Joshua via his Christian television station Emmanuel TV.
